Kent Coast Volunteering Folkestone & Hythe Hub Men's Sheds Project
The Shed Project provides a place for ex-military personnel and their families but we also welcome others in the community who may feel isolated or just want some company. We offer peer support, advice and the opportunity to learn new skills. The group mainly undertakes woodwork, making and selling commissioned items to support our ongoing costs. Skill levels range from experienced carpentry to never having made a thing… “It’s nice to be able take a plain piece of wood and create something.” Equally some Shedders are happy to go along for a cuppa and a chat – there is no pressure to create.
