The Blessing of the Fisheries

The Blessing of the Fisheries takes place every year at the end of June. The ceremony has ancient roots but has been organised through St. Peter's Church, which serves the harbour community, for almost 150 years. Whilst it is an annual event, organisation and community engagement takes up much of the year. If you would like to become involved, we are always looking for fresh ideas and volunteers! Come along to St. Peter's Church one Sunday and express an interest... or simply turn up on the day and enjoy one of Folkestone's oldest traditions.
